Mortem Vetus:
Immortalis Thank you for purchasing Immortalis. We hope you enjoy using this product, and this User Guide is intended to just help you get the most out of your purchase. Mostly, this guide will be covering the basic operation of the items included in the pack. Ok, first things first. This pack is intended for use with Poser 8 and newer, although it IS usable with Poser 6 and above. For the purposes of this guide, we'll be using PoserPro 2014, but there is nothing we'll be doing that can't be done in Poser 6 and above. And initially, pretty much everything is in default, except Render settings. Once you've installed the product, your new Immortalis files will be in: Figures:MortemVetus:Immortalis: Props:MortemVetus:Immortalis: Pose:MortemVetus:Immortalis: The first thing we need to do is load CasketBase, from the figures library. This is the only cr2, with everything else being smart props that parent to the CasketBase. To load the CasketBase, either double-click on the library entry, or highlight it and click "Create New Figure", the double tick symbol, as shown in Image 1a below. In image 1b below, we can see the Casket Bsase loaded. |

In addition to the Casket
Base, there are a selection of smart props that parent to
it. Let's start with CasketCorpse, and we do the same as
we did for the CasketBase, except in this case, we click
the single tick symbol, "Apply Library Preset", which we
can see in image 2a below. In image 2b below, we've turned
the camera round a little and we can see our corpse
loaded. We can also see in image 2a that we have a selection of five Canopic Jars that we can add. We're going to go through and add all of them. The jars are all positioned inside the casket, and will appear relative to those positions, even if you've moved the Casket Base, provided the Base is selected when you load the additional props. |

In Image 3a below, we can
see all five of the Canopic Jars loaded, along with our
Corpse. Because all the additional props are parented to
the CasketBase, they will move with it, but can also be
moved independently, by selecting the required prop and
adjusting the Translation and Rotation dials. So now there's just one more prop to load, and that's the Lid. Load this the same way we loaded the Corpse and Jars, and we can see it loaded in image 3b below. Once again, this prop is parented to the Base, and will move with it. |

Ok, so
far so good, we've got everything loaded, and if we move
the CasketBase now, everything moves with it. So let's take a look at what else is in this pack. If we look in Poses:MortemVetus:Immortalis: we find three sub-folders; Casket_Textures, Lid_Poses and Mummy_Textures. First we'll take a look at Lid_Poses, and we've expanded that folder as shown in image 4a below. We've selected Lid Off 1, and we apply this in the same way that we loaded the props. In this case, we can click either of the tick symbols. In image 4b below, we can see how this pose has affected the lid. Please note, you will need to have the CasketBase selected to apply all the included poses. (These and the MAT poses) Play around a bit with the positioning poses and see what they each do. These are intended to give a range of quick positions that can then be modified to suit if needs be. |

As well as the positioning poses, we also
have a selection of MAT poses to choose from to change the
appearance of the Casket and the Corpse. Let's have a look at the Casket_Textures. There are six different textures to choose from, for the Casket and for the Lid. Apply the MAT poses in the same way that we applied the positioning poses above. There are also three MAT pose options for the Mummy. Have a play around with them all and see which you like, and what suits your scene. IMPORTANT! When applying MAT poses to a prop you MUST have the prop selected, and you must also have a figure in the scene. In this case, our figure is the CasketBase, so that's covered. Remember to select the Lid or the Corpse(Mummy) before applying their MAT poses. |
And that's it. As with all our products,
we've tried to create something that is both different and
distinct. We hope you enjoy using this product and we look
forward to seeing what images you make with it. Happy Rendering Andrew and Tracey :) |
