Mortem Vetus: Raggedy Man

Thank you for purchasing RaggedyMan. We hope you enjoy using this product, and this User Guide is intended to just help you get the most out of your purchase. Mostly, this guide will be covering the basic operation of the items included in the pack.

This pack is intended for use with Poser8 and newer.

For the purposes of this guide, we'll be using PoserPro 2014, but there is nothing we'll be doing that can't be done in Poser 8 and above.  And initially, pretty much everything is in default, except Render settings. Once you've installed the product, your new Raggedy Man items will be in:
:Runtime:libraries:Character:MortemVetus:RaggedyMan:

:Runtime:libraries:Props:MortemVetus:RaggedyMan:
:Runtime:libraries:Pose:MortemVetus:RaggedyMan:

Once we have Michael 4 loaded, we want to start loading the outfit. When loading the clothing items, make sure the item is selected, then click Figure > Conform To... and then select Michael from the drop-down list. Load each item and coform it to Michael4. If Michael is in his default loading position rather than zeroed, there may be poke through on the bottom of the coat, after the coat is conformed. This is because the bottom of the coat utilises body handles rather than conforming bones, so requires posing independently of Michaels pose.

We're going to load the rest of the outfit, working from the inside out, so we can see each piece as it's added. So load each piece and conform it to Michael4, this includes the canteens. While the canteens may appear as if they would conform to the Harness, they should be conformed to Michael4.

Image 2: Loading all the outfit pieces

Now we have Michael wearing the whole outfit, we can see the poke through on the bottom of the coat. As we mentioned, this is because the bottom of the coat is controlled by body handles, so it won't conform to Michael's leg movements. To pose the lower pieces of the coat, we need to select it, then select the appropriate body handle, from the bodyparts drop-down. The body handles are all named relative to Michael, so 'FrontRight' corresponds to Michael's right thigh, at the front.

Image 3: Correcting the coat

The coat contains seven body handles round the lower section. Use these to correct the pose of the lower coat when Michael is posed. We've also included a number of MAT poses to hide the front sections, allowing greater freedom of movement and posing, as well as different style appearance.

PLEASE NOTE: When wearing the full outfit, movement in the torso (Left and Right Collars, Chest, Abdomen) would be constricted by the harness. This is due to the nature of construction of the harness, with the air tanks and rigidity of the back section. Extreme posing may result in undesirable results. Please be careful when posing these body parts.

In addition to the outfit, there are also a couple of weapons, which have versions for left and right hands.

There is also a free set to compliment this outfit, called Dread And Dead, which contains a skull helm and dreadlocks. This can be downloaded from our store at RuntimeDNA.

So we're going to add the weapons and the free items, and apply a more intersting pose. We've used a pose from IGD_Mutiny by IslandGirl. Almost all poses that we use are by IslandGirl, and we recommend them highly. Because this pose wasn't designed for the Raggedy Man outfit weapons, we've also applied the appropriate hand poses for these weapons, which are included in this pack.
