Mortem Vetus:
ParameTricks1 Thank you for purchasing ParameTricks1. We hope you enjoy using this product, and this User Guide is intended to just help you get the most out of your purchase. Mostly, this guide will be covering the basic operation of the items included in the pack. This pack is intended for use with Poser8 or newer, within the TerraDome2 environment. For the purposes of this guide, we'll be using PoserPro 2014, but there is nothing we'll be doing that can't be done in Poser 8 and above. And initially, pretty much everything is in default, except Render settings. Once you've installed the product, your new ParameTricks1 items will be in: Runtime:libraries:Materials:! TerraDome2:Parametric:ParameTricks1: Runtime:libraries:Pose:! TerraDome2:ParameTricks: This pack is an add-on for TerraDome2, and requires TerraDome2 in order to work. So to begin with, we want to load TerraDome2, and we're also going to load the TerraDome2 Sun. Before we start on the ParameTricks, we'll morph a bit of shape into our TerraDome2, to make everything a bit more interesting, so we're starting with the scene below in image1. |

morphed. |
Ok, so now we want to add
our ParameTricks1 clouds. For this, we need to go to our "! TerraDome2" folder in Figures, and load TD2_Parametric. When this loads, it will have no materials on, and so will hide the sky, as we can see below in image2. |

Once the Parametric figure
is loaded, make sure it is selected and then go to your
materials library, and then to "!
TerraDome2:Parametric:ParameTricks1:" and load a cloud
material of choice. |

Ok, so we've got some clouds loaded, and
that's pretty cool, you can move them around to suit. But
when we first did it, we realised we wanted more. So we
played around with it all a bit, and came up with needing
to scale and move the Parametric figure, without affecting
the rotation centres. So we've included an INJ for the
Parametric, that adds a scale dial and a move dial. Use
these dials in combination to get your clouds sitting on
the tops of mountains in the BZoneLg and the back of
AZone. Some adjustment on the xRotate dial may be needed
to get your clouds at the right height. To use the Parametric figure in the foreground, it would be better to use the zTran dial to bring the Parametric forward. Using the Forward dial to bring the Parametric beyond the back edge of the AZone can cause it to distort when turned. Again, the Smaller dial can be used to get your clouds looking just the way you want. This gives us a much greater degree of control for placing our clouds. In the image above, we had a Parametric figure with clouds applied. So we've loaded a second Parametric figure, and applied a different set of clouds, then used the "Smaller" dial a bit to just bring our new clouds over the tops of the mountains. We can see this in Image8 below. In the image at the top of the page, we used 4 Parametric figures, and by moving and scaling them a bit, we've got it nicely rolling over the background mountains. |

For the final image below, we've
added the Water figure, and applied RollingFog2-Right
to the atmosphere, from our AtmosFears pack. |

One last thing... we can't anticipate
every scene that these might be used in, so there
may be instances where you need them lighter or darker. To
do this we need to open the Material Room, and change the
colour values of the Alternate_Diffuse and/or the
Alternate_Specular, which are highlighted in image5 below.
Change one step at a time, and if you make a change you
don't like, use CTRL-Z to undo it. |

We hope you enjoy using this product and
we look forward to seeing what images you make with it. Happy Rendering Andrew and Tracey :) |
